MEDBOUND TERMS OF SERVICE

Last Updated: May 6, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of all products, services, tools, materials, and content provided by MedBound (“MedBound,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing, browsing, or using any part of the MedBound website, platforms, or services, or by purchasing any product or service offered by MedBound, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms in full. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use MedBound services.

I. INTERPRETATION AND PRIORITY OF TERMS

These Terms operate alongside MedBound’s Disclosures, Privacy Policy, and any service-specific descriptions, checkout disclosures, or written communications provided at or prior to purchase. These documents should be read together as a unified framework governing the relationship between the user and MedBound.

Where inconsistencies arise, the most specific and proximate information controls. Service-specific descriptions and checkout-stage disclosures govern the exact scope of the purchased offering. Written confirmations issued after purchase further clarify delivery expectations. These Terms govern general use of the platform and define overarching rights and responsibilities. The Disclosures document provides interpretive context and clarification but does not override explicit service-level commitments.

General marketing language, summaries, or illustrative examples should not be interpreted as binding representations where more specific information is provided at the point of sale.

II. NATURE OF SERVICES AND GENERAL SCOPE

MedBound provides educational support services designed to assist users in preparing for medical school applications and related academic processes. These services may include writing feedback, strategic guidance, structured resources, and educational tools.

All services are educational and informational in nature. MedBound does not function as an admissions authority, does not participate in admissions decisions, and does not represent any medical school, application service, or governing institution unless explicitly stated. Nothing provided by MedBound should be interpreted as legal advice, medical advice, or professional advisory services.

Users retain full responsibility for their decisions, submissions, and outcomes. Engagement with MedBound does not create any fiduciary, advisory, or agency relationship.

MedBound does not guarantee any admissions outcome, interview invitation, acceptance, waitlist placement, or result from any medical school application, regardless of the nature, quality, or extent of services rendered. Admissions outcomes depend on a wide range of factors outside MedBound’s control, including but not limited to individual applicant qualifications, institutional selection criteria, applicant pool competitiveness, and the applicant’s own execution and judgment throughout the application process. No statement made by MedBound, its lead advisor, contributors, or any associated individual should be interpreted as a promise or prediction of any specific admissions result.

III. ELIGIBILITY AND USER REQUIREMENTS

Use of MedBound services is permitted for individuals of any age for general access and informational purposes. However, users must be at least eighteen years of age to purchase any paid product or service.

If a user is under the age of eighteen and seeks to purchase or use paid services, such use must be conducted with the involvement, supervision, and consent of a parent or legal guardian. By purchasing services on behalf of a minor, the parent or guardian agrees to these Terms and assumes full responsibility for the minor’s use of the services.

IV. ACCOUNT ACCESS AND PLATFORM USE

MedBound services may be delivered through various platforms, including but not limited to Kajabi and Pickaxe, as well as associated tools, forms, and integrations used for service delivery.

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any account credentials, access links, or login information associated with their use of MedBound services. Users may not share accounts, transfer access, or allow unauthorized third parties to use purchased services.

MedBound reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to any user account or service if misuse, unauthorized access, or violation of these Terms is suspected.

V. DESCRIPTION OF OFFERINGS

MedBound may offer a range of products and services, including but not limited to:

  • Free educational resources and downloadable materials
  • Admissions Writing Lab services
  • AI-assisted tools and platforms, where applicable
  • Future educational products such as practice systems or structured learning programs

Each offering is defined by its specific service page and checkout description. The scope, limitations, and features of a product or service are determined by the terms presented at the time of purchase. Users should rely on those specific descriptions rather than generalized representations when evaluating what is included. MedBound reserves the right to modify, update, or discontinue offerings, features, or pricing at any time. Changes do not retroactively alter completed purchases unless explicitly stated.

VI. ADMISSIONS WRITING LAB TERMS

The Admissions Writing Lab (“AWL”) is a structured writing support service delivered according to defined tiers, each with specific limitations and included features. Tier structures are as follows:

  • Essentials: up to 6,000 characters, no resubmissions, no deep revisions, forty-eight hour tutor access
  • Advantage: up to 15,000 characters, one resubmission, no deep revisions, seven day tutor access
  • Premium: up to 35,000 characters, three resubmissions, one deep revision, ten day tutor access
  • Unlimited: unlimited characters subject to a 15,000 character weekly limit, unlimited resubmissions, three deep revisions, thirty day tutor access

Turnaround times vary by tier purchased and are estimated as follows: Essentials and Advantage aim for an estimated three to five business days; Premium and Unlimited aim for an estimated two to four business days. MedBound makes every reasonable effort to meet these windows, however turnaround times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Actual delivery may be affected by submission completeness, volume of materials submitted, third-party platform conditions, reviewer availability, or other circumstances outside MedBound’s reasonable control. Rush delivery, where available, targets a twenty-four hour window from confirmed receipt of complete materials and is likewise an estimate rather than a guarantee.

Turnaround time begins once all required materials have been submitted and confirmed as received by MedBound. Delivery is fulfilled via PDF sent to the user’s provided email address. Tutor access windows begin at the time of delivery and are limited to the duration specified in the purchased tier. Resubmissions and revisions are limited strictly according to the tier purchased. Any work submitted beyond these limits may require the purchase of an additional service.

VII. PAYMENTS, BILLING, AND INSTALLMENTS

MedBound may offer one-time payments or installment-based payment plans depending on the specific product or service. Installment plans are currently available for Premium ($899) and Unlimited ($1,999) tiers. By completing a purchase, users agree to pay all applicable fees associated with the selected offering. For installment plans, users agree to complete all scheduled payments according to the agreed payment structure.

Failure to complete installment payments may result in suspension of access to services or withholding of deliverables until payment obligations are fulfilled. MedBound reserves the right to modify pricing for future purchases at any time. Pricing changes do not retroactively apply to completed transactions.

VIII. REFUND POLICY AND DISPUTE HANDLING

All sales are considered final once feedback has been delivered to the user’s provided email address and the user has confirmed receipt of the initial feedback PDF. At that point, no refund will be issued regardless of the extent to which the user has utilized remaining resubmissions, revisions, or tutor access included in their tier.

Prior to delivery of the initial feedback PDF, users may contact MedBound at [email protected] to discuss eligibility for a refund. Duplicate purchases made in error may be eligible for refund upon verification, regardless of delivery status. Users are expected to contact MedBound to resolve issues prior to initiating chargebacks. Unauthorized chargebacks may result in termination of access and restriction from future services. This section operates in conjunction with any standalone Refund Policy and checkout-level disclosures, which may provide more specific guidance.

IX. USER CONDUCT AND PROHIBITED USE

Users agree not to engage in any of the following:

  • Copying, reproducing, redistributing, or reselling MedBound materials
  • Sharing account access or purchased materials with unauthorized parties
  • Using MedBound content to create competing services or products

  • Using automated tools to scrape or harvest content
  • Submitting false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Engaging in harassment, abuse, or inappropriate conduct toward staff or systems
  • Using services for unlawful or unethical purposes
  • Attempting to manipulate, exploit, or misuse AI systems

Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of access without refund.

X. USER SUBMISSIONS AND DATA RESPONSIBILITY

Users may submit written materials, personal statements, application data, or other content for review and feedback. Users retain ownership of their submissions. However, by submitting content to MedBound, users grant MedBound a limited, non-exclusive license to use such content for the purpose of providing services, maintaining records, and improving internal systems.

Users are advised not to submit highly sensitive personal, medical, financial, or confidential third-party information unless necessary. MedBound is not responsible for verifying the accuracy or completeness of user-submitted materials.

XI. INTERNAL USE OF DATA AND CONSENT FOR PUBLIC MATERIALS

MedBound may use anonymized and aggregated user data, submissions, and usage patterns for internal analysis, quality improvement, and development of methodologies. For any public use of user materials, including testimonials, case studies, or examples, MedBound will obtain explicit consent from the user prior to publication.

XII. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONTENT RIGHTS

All MedBound materials are the intellectual property of MedBound unless otherwise stated. Materials are provided under a limited license for personal, non-commercial use only. Users may not copy, distribute, republish, or exploit any content without prior written permission. Third-party materials included within MedBound content remain the property of their respective owners and are cited where applicable.

Feedback deliverables, including but not limited to PDF documents and written commentary provided through the Admissions Writing Lab or any other MedBound service, are provided for the purchaser’s personal, non-commercial use only. MedBound retains intellectual property rights in the structure, methodology, and framework underlying all feedback deliverables. Users may share feedback privately with trusted individuals such as friends or family members, but may not publicly post, publish, distribute, or reproduce feedback deliverables in any online or public forum, including but not limited to social media platforms, forums, Discord servers, Reddit, or any other publicly accessible channel, without prior written consent from MedBound.

XIII. USE OF AI AND AUTOMATED SYSTEMS

MedBound may utilize artificial intelligence within certain tools, workflows, and content generation processes. AI outputs are provided for educational purposes only and may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or generalized recommendations. Users are responsible for independently reviewing and validating any AI-generated content before relying on it. The use of AI does not diminish the validity of MedBound’s methodologies, but does not guarantee accuracy or individualized applicability.

XIV. SAMPLE MATERIALS AND ILLUSTRATIVE CONTENT

MedBound may provide example essays, sample personal statements, or illustrative materials for teaching purposes. Such materials may be fully or partially constructed, anonymized, or modified to demonstrate specific strategies and are not guaranteed to represent real student submissions. These materials should be interpreted as instructional tools only.

XV. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND PLATFORMS

MedBound utilizes third-party platforms and service providers, including but not limited to Kajabi, Pickaxe, Stripe, and associated tools. Use of these platforms is subject to their respective terms and policies. MedBound is not responsible for platform-level issues, outages, or third-party actions.

XVI. NON-AFFILIATION AND REPRESENTATION

MedBound is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the AAMC, AMCAS, AACOMAS, TMDSAS, Casper, PREview, or any medical school or admissions authority unless explicitly stated. References to institutions are for identification purposes only.

XVII. MODIFICATIONS TO SERVICES AND TERMS

MedBound reserves the right to modify, update, or discontinue services, features, pricing, or methodologies at any time. Continued use of services after updates constitutes acceptance of Terms.

XVIII. TERMINATION AND ACCESS RESTRICTION

MedBound may suspend or terminate access to services at its discretion for violations of these Terms or misuse of services. Termination does not entitle users to refunds unless explicitly stated.

XIX. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MedBound shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of its services. Users acknowledge that use of MedBound services is at their own risk.

In no event shall MedBound’s total aggregate liability to any user, arising out of or related to these Terms or the use of MedBound services, exceed the total amount paid by that user for the specific service giving rise to the claim. Under no circumstances shall MedBound’s liability exceed one thousand nine hundred ninety-nine dollars ($1,999.00), which represents the maximum price of any single MedBound service offering. This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability, whether in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise, and even if MedBound has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

XX. INDEMNIFICATION

Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless MedBound from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from their use of the services, violation of these Terms, or misuse of provided materials.

XXI. FORCE MAJEURE

MedBound shall not be held liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to system outages, natural events, third-party platform disruptions, or reviewer unavailability due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances.

XXII. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona.

XXIII. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or use of MedBound services shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law. Users agree to waive participation in class actions and agree to resolve disputes individually.

You may opt out of the binding arbitration and class action waiver provisions of this section by sending written notice of your decision to opt out to [email protected] within fourteen (14) days of the date you first purchase a MedBound service or first agree to these Terms, whichever is earlier. Your notice must include your full name, email address used at purchase, and a clear statement that you are opting out of arbitration. If you opt out, any dispute shall be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction in the State of Arizona, and both parties consent to personal jurisdiction in that forum.
